2012 Day of Caring Online Registration has been closed, but you can still help! Join us at Shelter 1 (the shelter closest to the road) at Lake Storey at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 19th.

Bring some gloves and maybe even a rake. Donuts and juice will be provided at registration, but snacks and beverages are on your own. If you aren't already registered, t-shirts will be on a first come, first served basis until we run out.

Hope to see you there!

2011 - 2012 Calendar
T
he United Way has partnered with the Network for the Young Child to create a school readiness calendar to help Knox County four and five year olds and their families prepare for kindergarten.  This calendar offers activities that enhance the development of skills needed in kindergarten.  Children who are ready for kindergarten have good social, self-help, and physical skills and are developing a love for learning. The calendar is a wealth of information for children and parents alike in that it offers ideas for fun activities that develop a variety of skills; promotes a love of reading and suggests fun books to read; useful websites are available to help with parenting; local resources are listed to help parents and children make the most of learning; and registration dates as well as other school information is available.
